Biography:
Joshua V. Lindsey is a founding member of Lindsey Amonette Nemer + Glassford, PLLC, and is a member of the Middle Tennessee Collaborative Alliance. Joshua began his legal career in Nashville as an attorney in the labor and employment division at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, PLLC, and then as an attorney in both the litigation and corporate divisions at Bass Berry & Sims PLC. When members of his family were personally affected by divorce, Joshua felt an undeniable calling to bring the same passion for zealous representation, relentless advocacy, and dedicated client service to the arena of family law, founding his own firm in January 2010 to assist clients in difficult times of domestic transition. Joshua has been practicing family law exclusively since January 2010, successfully representing his clients in the courtroom, in mediations, and in the collaborative law process. Having successfully conducted collaborative divorces on behalf of clients in Tennessee, Joshua feels that the collaborative law process is the most equitable, compassionate, and efficient way to approach difficult domestic relations matters, particularly those in which child custody or business division is a contested issues.
For a recent review of Joshua's work on a collaborative case, please see the following review on Avvo: "Divorce is something I've watched my friends do, watched on TV, seen in magazines and the common thread is how UGLY divorce is. My case was very different from what I have seen and I believe that has everything to do with Joshua Lindsey. He dictated the mood of the entire room: always calm, always kind, always listening.... Don't misunderstand me, he wasn't passive. When things got a little heated, he was ready to own the room again in a different way. I felt like we were in control the entire time; I felt like he was on my side 100%; I felt like he was practical and the reason that I don't HATE my ex husband; he's the reason why to this day my custody situation is perfect (for me and my ex); he's really the reason I'm still sane. I started out with a litigated divorce and I can honestly say: I would not be nearly as far along in the healing process and I would have WAY less money. If you want to subtract some years from your life, I say a litigated divorce is like smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day. Divorce is hard and sad, but Joshua Lindsey made mine bearable and helped me through every step of the way. I fully support the collaborative process."
